Night Sky Etchings

Last we we finished up our study on the Day and Night Sky.  Friday, we observed serveral pieces by Van Gogh included Starry Night.  The students then created their own version of the night sky by creating a crayon etching.  First the students color a piece of white paper with Crayola crayons.  The students were to pick colors that they could see in the night sky.  Then the students use a Crayola Black crayon to color over all of the colored crayon drawings.  Once the entire page is covered, the students used a paper clip to etch their what they could see in the night sky!
